![]() It’s not even because Pokemon is hard, it’s just I wander around because I don’t want to lose to that Gym Leader AGAIN and next thing I know, I’m lost and I don’t remember which order I’m supposed to battle gym leaders and I can’t remember where I came from. ![]() I forgot all of this when I started playing last night. I’m well aware of the trend on youtube where people record their screens and play video games, while giving often hilarious commentary. Now, I’m pretty terrible at every game I try my hand at but if there is one video game world I felt like at 10:30 pm last night I understood- it’s Pokemon. Although they release new games every year, I would say the plot for every one is the same: battle pokemon, find gym leaders, do a short ” stop team rocket from destroying the radio that is somehow still relevant in this day and age” interlude, and just be the best. It could be funny- it would be a way to post to youtube doing something kind of interesting and enjoyable. So next thing I knew, I downloaded a free screen record app, put on my headset, named myself Karl and got myself a Totodile named Clarence! (the exclamation mark is part of his name because punctuation is always an option in pokemon naming and god do I love them for it). How many Rattatta live in the Grass at 11 pm (or really any time of day) POKEMON GOLD PLAYR FREE Long story short: I was constantly scratching and leering and I had no idea where Mr. Pokemon lives past the next town- but I really didn’t want to take that old man’s tour. What’s more, I even called Professor Elm for help and he just told me that I should remember to heal my pokemon. I was lost and no one in the game can offer me guidance. That’s the thing about Pokemon- I think that’s why the only game I ever beat was Pokemon Rangers (which was ridiculously easy). There is no one in the game that keeps you from walking away. “Hey, Where ya going friend? You have to go in this cave right now and battle this thing right now.” You have tasks to complete, yes, but the order in which you do them is just really up to you. No you don’t actually have to go into that misty forest this second, but you do if you wanna become a Pokemon Master. Do you have to become a pokemon master in 48 hours- nope. You could take all the time you need, wander around how you like.
